About Me
I am Chris Shute, a freelance lighting programmer and technician based in London, UK. I started out in Hampshire and have since gained a wealth of experience in both the theatre industry and corporate/events sector.
I have worked in lighting roles ranging from programmer to technical manager for various events and productions, providing expertise in lighting control, programming and planning.

Discovering the world of technical theatre at the age of 14, I worked in various roles in my local venue on a range of productions and shows including dance, concerts, plays and musicals. In 2019, I decided to focus on my career as a lighting programmer and attended Rose Bruford College to study Creative Lighting Control, graduating with First Class Honours in 2022.

My passion for lighting has grown through real-world practice. I have honed my skills and knowledge in the field, making me a trusted professional among my colleagues.

I am dedicated to delivering high-quality work and pay attention to detail, which has earned me a reputation as a reliable and talented lighting professional. As a freelance lighting programmer and technician, I have worked on a wide range of events and productions.

When I'm not working on lighting projects, I enjoy exploring new technology and tools that can improve my craft.
